Exhibition "Inspired in Barcelona: Luce" BDW'25

INVENTO participates in the 'Inspired in Barcelona: Luce' exhibition in Barcelona.

After its run at Milan Design Week , this exhibition returns to its home city to offer a glimpse into creativity and light design. Reinterpreted specifically for Barcelona Design Week 2025 , this new edition focuses on self-produced projects: unique pieces or short series created on commission or designed directly for an end user.

Thanks to new technologies, manufacturing processes have been democratized. Today, designers, artists, architects, and engineers can develop and produce their creations directly from their offices, workshops, or even homes, and distribute them without intermediaries. This direct relationship between creator and user redefines how design is conceived, made, and shared.

This practice, however, is not new. The exhibition also highlights some precedents: figures and examples who, before the emergence of digital platforms and social networks, were already working under this same independent and personalized logic.

The installation is dominated by the BARCELONA sign, a light fixture designed by Antoni Arola that can be seen throughout the city during the Christmas season. Also noteworthy is the architectural lighting of the space, a project developed by Simon and designed by Michela Mezzavilla – MMAS Lighting, created specifically for the occasion.
